‘American Idol’ Brings In Avril Lavigne
The list of “American Idol” guest judge is growing bigger with the addition of Avril Lavigne. According to EW, Avril will take one day of selecting hopefuls which are called back to the Los Angeles edition. Katy Perry will do the same thing for the other day.

So far there has been no date set for the Los Angeles audition. However, Perry has come forward with a plan. “I might become a little bit of a buddy with Simon, because whenever I watch that show, as much as he’s an a**hole, he’s a very truthful, honest a**hole,” she said.
“I’m not there to build them up. It’s weird, because I don’t want to break their hearts, but everyone knows someone who’s been doing karaoke and doing little gigs here and there, and nobody has told them that they can’t sing on pitch for, like, 15 years? And you’re like, ‘Someone needs to say something.’ And, unfortunately, I might be that gal, to tell you the truth. I always have been.”
Other celebrities who have been tapped to be Paula Abdul’s subs include Victoria Adams, Mary J. Blige, Joe Jonas, Shania Twain, Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth.
